From up high to down low, Kerplunk is a short work that investigates how fish must feel when you throw a rock over the edge of the canyon into the river below.

 

Is is like a meteor falling from the sky? Is it terrifying for them? But then again we do wonder... What noise does the rock make when it hits the water? and how long does it take to get down there? Maybe we have to throw it over the edge just to test the theory?

This 7 min dance and theater work debuted at the 23rd annual Dances by the Lake in 2025.
